Mask instructions….

First of all we brought in clean, empty 4 pint milk cartons,

Then we used paper mache to cover it all up and left it to dry for 2 days,

We then painted them with a base colour so that you could not see any newspaper, we left it for a day or two then we put designs all over to make it look like an African mask.

  1. Fantastic.

  2. Dear Crosshouse,
I really like the masks you havemade out of bottles. This really fits in with the way children in Malawi recycle objects to make other things. Can you wear them? If you can maybe you can do make some drama scenes with them.
How did it go using the papier mache? Is it very messy? Our class is going to make some African calabashes using papier mache on Friday. Hopefully we will have some photos soon.

Well done for all your fabulous work.
